The pill has been in use for a long time now and serves multiple purposes besides just birth control. It is also used as a means of controlling when a woman will have her period as well. The main drawback to this type of birth control is the fact that you are required to take a pill everyday in order for it to be completely effective. Finding the right type of device that will work best for you and your body will be the biggest decision to make as well as if the doctor thinks that this a safe option.
There are many other forms and methods of birth control that will serve one purpose or another, or in some cases will be able to perform multiple functions.
